![]() ![]() ![]() You know, the part when they put the real ending of the story in a DLC? Notice they didn't pull stupid shit like that in the last two games (again DS2 multiplayer but either way it wasn't necessary to the story line). ![]() Also not to mention the bullshit that they pulled with "The Awakened" DLC in Dead Space 3. ![]() I believe a lot of people hated it because they switched up the classic gameplay by making ammo universal and having to depend on "resources" (which large quantities can cOnVenIenTly be purchased with REAL money) and not power nodes to upgrade your equipment, changing up the bench so you can make these military grade weapons and arm Isaac to the teeth, etc, all for the sole purpose of making a new system where the player is about 10x more tempted to buy shit for the game. (Severed was a fantastic DLC btw.) In those two games, these microtransactions were not being shoved in your face every time you went to a store or bench. At least to me the suits and stuff never made a difference when I did Impossible runs. Back then, that stuff was real, creative, genuine bonus content that you could just ignore (or buy) and it wouldn't make a difference to the story/campaign if you bought them or not. Also the Severed DLC.but do those really count as "microtransactions" the way we know and hate them today? (The multiplayer is debatable). The only microtransactions in the first two games were for extra suits and weapons, as well as how in Dead Space 2 they made you pay for multiplayer. ![]()
